Originally from Springfield, Massachusetts, Ben found his way to Atlanta to embark on the journey that is his life, photography. His genesis started just as any other artist, through institutional training, mentorship of those whose work he admired, and most commonly known to the artist, "the hustle".

Upon his arrival, Ben began joining the circles of then aspiring artists like himself. Among those were Grammy award winning artists such as Oukast, Akon, and Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez, who would in turn give him his first professional gig shooting for Left Eye Productions. An intense love for music cultivated the many images he has shot for some of the top singers and rappers in the entertainment industry. Ne-Yo, Monica, PJ Morton, and T-Boz are just a few artists with whom he has created with. In the live arena, he has cinematically captured shots for the concerts of Hall and Oates, LL Cool J, Jay Z and Nas. Yet, Ben is also passionate about the process of creating looks for up and coming artists that encompass the same drive and vigor he embodied on his ascent.

His heightened hunger for perfection and creative outlet would then lead him to work for major publications. He has produced covers for Atlanta Woman and Business to Business, as well as having images decorate the pages of Vibe and Jet Magazines. In the fashion industry Ben embraced the  opportunity to shoot the most popular African American male model in the business, as well as the face for Polo in the 90s, Tyson Beckford. Then to further expand his reach, Ben collaborated with Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins of TLC on a book of poetry and stills that integrated her words and his photography.

Along with his talent for shooting artists, Ben has also worked with the most influential figures of our time, whether it be social, political, corporate, or religious. Ben has shot work and events for Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, Bishop Eddie Long, Andrew Young, and Bernice King. Perhaps his most important composition was visually documenting the Homecoming Ceremony for Coretta Scott King.

With a delicate eye for connecting character to visual, Ben is been best known to relate any speaker to his message, a musician to every note sung, an actor's headshot to characterize his versatility or simply a child's smile to any heart. Ben's ongoing mission is to continue bringing precision and flavor to this business. He's a visionary that loves to overextend himself to all the endless possibilities photography has to offer. He has the creative mind to mix the unthinkable, produce the impossible, and make an unimaginable image the illest photo you've ever seen!

Brown has photographed everyone from Arthur Blank to T-Boz of TLC
