AnneMarie Jo Lorenzini was born in Connecticut and raised in Georgia. As a little girl you could find her styling and cutting the hair of her Barbie dolls, playing dress up with her little brother, and sneaking makeup into her mother's shopping cart with outrageous excuses! AnneMarie never fit into a pre-made mold. She always followed her instincts and her heart no matter what everyone else around her was doing. By the time she was in high school, she was involved in Drumline, Concert Band, Construction, Accounting, Web Design, Marketing, Math Team, and many other clubs around the school. Even though AnneMarie enjoyed all of these activities, she continually found herself examining people's personal style, dying her brother's hair, and the silliest: putting on a full face of makeup then jumping right in the shower!
After High School, AnneMarie felt overwhelmed with her many, many interests so, decided to take a breather and start looking for a job. She felt so bored with every place she went into except one, True Salon. She just knew she had to work there. A month later they called her to set up an interview and from then on AnneMarie felt happy. She loved getting to see new people every day and yet still having a connection to the regular customers. "I absolutely love watching the stylists bring each person's inner beauty out", AnneMarie comments. She also joined the makeup team at Creeper's Haunted House that year. That was it. AnneMarie realized, "this is what I HAVE to do with my life!"
In 2009, AnneMarie kissed True Salon goodbye and ended up in New York City! With the words that Cara Martin told her, "Makeup is Art. You can't be wrong"- AnneMarie stood tall and accomplished the Makeup Artistry program at Makeup Designory. The program covered Beauty Makeup, Character Makeup, Hairstyling, and taught her many skills to be a professional in the industry.
AnneMarie has been working professionally for 2 years now and all she can say is, "I know I am living my dream, because I keep wondering when I am going to wake up!"
