2012 Beauty tips and Trends

So it another year and we’re always ready to start it off with a new hairstyle, a new diet, or even a new make up look. Experimenting with hairstyles by using new products or even adding a new eye shadow color to accent with your everyday attire can  be that simple something to gives you that recharged feeling of 2012.

Show your inner vixen with a popping orange-red lipstick. I know this can be intimidating; however with soft eyes and a petal pink blush this can accent a dressy casual outfit for a high fashion look. If that is too strong for you, go with an earth goddess look by using spring colors for blush such as peachy pinks or sunny apricots along with nude lips or translucent colored lip gloss. These tones give the skin a youthful glow and can be done very natural. Another look seen off the spring 2012 runway is silver and brown eye shadow with iridescent shine. Apply the silver to the complete eyelid or accent the inner corners of the eyes to open them up. The brown eye shadow is great for a daytime smoky eye which adds a touch a glam without creating that heavy “I party last night” look. One of my favorite things to finish a makeup look are eyelashes! Don’t forget them. They can spice up any look whether it be for natural or glamorized hotness. They come in a wide variety of styles and intensities. Remember practice make perfect with your eyelashes, it gets easier as you wear them. You’ll love me later for this added habit or agree with me because you already enjoy it.

When it comes to your hair this year, don’t over do it. All the looks across the runway are effortless and don’t take breaking your brush to do either. Ponytails are a must for a quick up style. Change it up by slicking it smooth or leave it low and loose. Fishtail the ends, leave straight or even tease it up to add texture. Ponytails rule because they are easy and so diverse. Tigi’s Session Series styling cream is great for smoothing out loose hairs in that ponytail or by blow drying your hair first it will add volume and thickness. I can’t forget my curly heads! We’re always looking for something new to either tame or define. Try using a curl cream such as Curlesque amplifier, Bumble and Bumble curl conscious cream, or Miss Jessie’s Quick Curls. These curl creams have moisturizing agents that help with defining and also elongating the curls preventing frizz and that scrunched crunch effect.
