 Most assumed Yao Ming's foot injury and ensuing surgery would prevent him from opting out of his contract with the Rockets this season. But it seems that assumption could be wrong. On Saturday, the 7-foot-7 center said he was "not sure" if the uncertainty with the league's labor negotiations would lead him to pursue free agency this summer. Yao, 29, said he hadn't thought much about his options, but he remained noncomittal about whether he might opt out.
